On August 8, 2024, the 39th Glenn Anderson Day of Golf presented the Alberta Cancer Foundation with $1.85 million toward purchasing an MR-Sim and supporting CAR T-cell immunotherapy research.
This amazing result was aided significantly by the leadership of the McNeill family and the Stream-Flo Group who have been running campaigns with employees, customers and suppliers for much of the last year. Their efforts, along with the generosity of many in the room, resulted in raising over half of the $3 million required to purchase and install the MR Sim to treat patients with Cancer. There will also be a large contribution to the Car T Cell immunotherapy program at the Cross Cancer Institute.
“This was an overwhelming outcome for this event. We are so very grateful to our sponsors, donors and everyone who achieved this significant milestone,” said committee co-chair Reid Johnson. “Over its 39-year history, this event has raised more than $18 million for cancer research and treatment.”
